2012 Rebound Rumble

2012’s game featured a new focus on cooperation through competition, or, coopertition.  FRC Robots had to shoot baskets into hoops for varying amounts of points.  In addition, the game featured bridges which teams could balance on to achieve more points.  One bridge was known as a “Coopertition Bridge” where two opposing robots could balance on to achieve bonus qualifying points.  To learn more, watch the game animation:

Our Robot, Air Charlie, featured a highly accurate shooting/scoring system, a powerful 6-wheel tank-drive train, allowing it to move quickly across the field.  Air Charlie also possessed the ability to back in to the Coopertition Bridge to allow the opposing team to help balance for additional points.
